Clean Water Initiative

Build Sustainable Infrastructure

The Clean Water Initiative focuses on securing long-term access through community-led infrastructure. Your donation helps fund the engineering, construction and long term maintenance of these projects.

  • 1 in 4 – or 2.1 billion people globally – still lack access to safely managed drinking water*, including 106 million who drink directly from untreated surface sources.

  • Chronic Absenteeism: Children miss many school days annually due to recurring bouts of diarrhea, cholera, and typhoid, directly hindering their academic progress.

  • Vulnerability to Secondary Infections: Weakened immune systems from prolonged waterborne illnesses make school-aged children significantly more susceptible to other infectious diseases.

  • Gender Disparities: Girls are disproportionately impacted; when waterborne illnesses strike a family, older girls are frequently pulled out of school to care for sick relatives or to walk long distances to collect safer water.

Water is the essence of life and the foundation of progress. Yet, for many in our global community, safe sources of drinking water are not available. Illness from drinking water can prevent children from attending school, and lead to loss of work for adults who support them.  We are committed to closing this gap through sustainable infrastructure, ensuring every community can thrive with access to clean water.
